Midfielder Miguel Azeez believes Carlisle United's togetherness and belief in the process will help the Blues get back to winning ways when they host Woking on Saturday.
The summer signing has settled quickly into life at Brunton Park and says the support of his teammates and staff has helped him feel at home from day one.
Azeez has enjoyed his start to the season and believes the strong bond within the squad has been a key factor in helping new players adapt.
He said: "I'm enjoying it. I'm enjoying being here. Everyone's made me feel really welcome and I'm just enjoying every single day that I'm in, to be fair.
"From day one, everyone has welcomed me in with open arms and it's been really easy to settle in.
"We've got a great bunch of lads which have really helped me as well, and the staff. So it felt really easy to settle in."
Following last weekend's defeat at Eastleigh, Azeez says the squad have used the week to reflect on what went wrong and focus on putting things right ahead of Saturday's game.
The midfielder insists the players have remained positive and believes honesty within the group is helping them learn from setbacks.
"We've had a positive week in training. Everyone's tried to get the team morale up and we've spoken about what went wrong and the little shifts that we need to make in order to start winning games and getting on the run.
"If we can be honest with each other, then it's a crucial step into taking accountability and ownership in what went wrong and also in things that we did do well.
"We're really fortunate we have a good bunch of players that are honest with each other and want to drive each other to improve."
Azeez also dismissed suggestions that mentality has been a major issue for the squad, instead pointing to the fine margins that can often decide matches.
While he knows results need to improve, he remains confident the team is heading in the right direction and believes sticking to their principles will bring success.
"I think every single game and training session we go into, we don't have a bad mentality. Sometimes things haven't gone our way in games, and I promise you it's not to do with our mentality being wrong.
"This is what wins the league: winning games, so we have to try and get as many points as we can. But also not trying to put too much pressure on ourselves that we need to do it now, because we can't win the league until April.
"We just have to put the ball in the net against Woking and stop it going in our net. We just have to stick to what we know, and hopefully we can do that tomorrow."
