Carlisle United Football Club are delighted to announce the appointment of Martin Foyle as the club’s Head of Recruitment.
Foyle has left his role at St Mirren to join up with the Blues and has previously been Head of Recruitment at the likes of Morecambe, Northampton and Motherwell.
With over 500 games under his belt as a player at clubs including Southampton, Blackburn, Oxford United and Port Vale, and over 400 games as a manager at the likes of Port Vale, York and Hereford, he brings huge amounts of football experience to the club.
Chairman, Tom Piatak said: “I sat down with Martin personally during the recruitment process and was immediately impressed by both his footballing acumen and his calm, thoughtful demeanour.
"His reputation across the game is outstanding, and the feedback we received from managers and executives he’s worked with was consistently excellent - highlighting his integrity, eye for talent, and ability to deliver.
"Martin has a proven track record of unearthing players who punch above their weight. His experience, contacts, and instincts will be vital as we reshape the squad with ambition and purpose.
