HARVEY MACADAM SIGNS FOR THE BLUES

.

Carlisle United Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of midfielder Harvey Macadam on a one-year deal with an option of a further year.

Macadam, 24, arrives at Brunton Park following the expiry of his contract with Morecambe FC.

The midfielder played 36 times for the Shrimps, netting twice, during his stint at the Mazuma Mobile Stadium.

Prior to his move there, Harvey was contracted to Fleetwood Town, where he made 43 appearances, scoring two goals.

Throughout his time with the Cod Army, he spent time on loan in Ireland at Waterford FC, where he made 12 appearances between February and June of 2024.

Macadam has been on trial with the Blues and played just over half-an-hour in the final pre-season friendly against Chester FC.

Harvey will wear the number 37 shirt and is eligible for this afternoon's fixture against Woking FC.

Head of Recruitment, Martin Foyle said: "Harvey is a player I have been watching for a couple of years now.

"He is a good character and size - fitting the profile. He will only get better with games. He can dictate play and will create openings for our forwards.

"He is also versatile and will be an important player for us moving forward. Hopefully he settles in quickly and the crowd gets behind him and the team for this coming season."
