Morgan Feeney will continue as Captain for the upcoming campaign, with Callum Whelan appointed as Vice Captain.
Feeney, 27, returned to the Blues last summer and was handed the armband following his comeback to first team action. The defender enjoyed an impressive campaign, making 40 appearances across all competitions and scoring four goals as he helped guide the side to the play-off semi-finals in May. A commanding presence at the heart of the defence, Feeney’s leadership and consistency have made him a key figure within the squad.
Whelan, 27, joined United in January 2025 and has since established himself as an important member of the group. His commitment, experience and professionalism have earned him the role of Vice Captain, providing valuable support to Feeney ahead of the upcoming campaign.
Both players will continue to play a vital role on and off the pitch as the Blues look to build on last season’s achievements.
A further leadership group has also been selected internally to support the Captains and provide additional guidance across the squad throughout the campaign.
Head Coach, Rob Elliot said: "We’re delighted to have Morgan continue as Captain and Callum step into the role of Vice Captain. Both players have shown great leadership qualities and are highly respected within the group.
“Morgan has embraced the responsibility since taking on the armband and has set the standards we expect, both on and off the pitch. Callum’s experience, professionalism and approach have also made him a natural choice to support him.
“The wider leadership group will also play an important role, ensuring we have strong voices throughout the squad as we continue to develop together.”
