Mullarkey joined the Blues on a half-season loan from Fleetwood Town in July 2026.

He began his career with Crewe Alexandra before enjoying spells with Nantwich Town and Altrincham, where he made over 100 appearances before earning a move into the EFL with Rochdale in 2023.

The defender has since featured for Grimsby Town, Crawley Town and Fleetwood Town, reuniting with Head Coach Rob Elliot after the pair previously worked together at Crawley.
