Biography

Gabe Breeze is a shining example of what our Academy aims to produce — a talented local lad with the drive and character to succeed at first team level. Having joined our youth system as a teenager, Gabe signed a two-year professional deal while still midway through his scholarship, such was the belief in his potential.

He made his senior debut during the 2023/24 season, going on to make four appearances and impressing with his calm presence and shot-stopping ability. That progress was recognised with a new contract that keeps him at Brunton Park until the summer of 2027.

In the 2024/25 campaign, Gabe stepped up to become our first-choice goalkeeper. He produced a series of strong performances, including a last-minute penalty save in a win over Port Vale and a standout display in the derby at Barrow, where he was named Man of the Match. His performances were matched by his leadership off the pitch, earning him the club’s PFA Community Champion award for his work in the community.

Gabe’s progress has been fantastic to see, and we’re proud to have one of our own playing such a key role in the first team.
