SUCCESSFUL PREMIER LEAGUE PRIMARY STARS FESTIVAL AT BRUNTON PARK

.

Carlisle United Community Sports Trust hosted Premier League Primary Stars football festivals at Brunton Park last week, which saw over 800 local primary school children involved across three days.

The partnership between CUFC CST, the England Schools Football Association and the Premier League Charitable Fund allowed participants to enjoy playing on the pitch in multiple friendly tournaments.

Day one saw 29 teams from Years Three and Four take to the pitch; the second day welcomed 18 sides made up of girls from Years Five and Six before finishing with an open Year Five and Six festival, which had 27 teams competing.

Across the football festivals, 74 teams from a range of primary schools attended, with 801 goals scored with fantastic displays of teamwork and resilience contributing to an excellent set of events.

Carlisle United Community Sports Trust Director of Delivery, CPD and Quality Assurance Carl Carr said: "We had a fantastic week hosting primary schools from across Cumbria in our annual Premier League Primary Stars football festivals.

"It was great to see so many pupils from our county playing on Brunton Park and having lots of fun in the process.

"The three days were well attended, and everyone taking part played with smiles on their faces and represented their schools brilliantly. Well done to all."

Carlisle United Community Trust CEO James Tose added: "Everyone connected with Carlisle United feels it is important for the club to be at the heart of our community and our annual schools 'Play on the Pitch' events are a great way for kids of all ages and abilities to have the opportunity to come and have a fantastic experience here at the football club.

"We have had some fantastic feedback from all who have taken part in what has been a brilliant week."
