SINGING SECTION SET TO RETURN AFTER SUCCESSFUL BRUNTON PARK TRIAL

/

Carlisle United have confirmed that the newly introduced singing section will return on Sunday following a successful trial during the club’s final home fixture of the regular season.

Situated in Section 3 of the East Stand for the clash against Brackley Town, the fan-led initiative was designed to enhance atmosphere and supporter engagement, with this now relocated to Section 4 ahead of the upcoming play-off semi-final.

Director Jenna DeMasi said: “The singing section in the East Stand was brilliant today. Nick [DeMasi] and I were blown away with how loud and energised it made the atmosphere. We need the Blue Army more than ever next match - let’s roll on to next Sunday.”

Demand for the section has already reflected strong enthusiasm, with seats for the next fixture now extremely limited. A small number may become available from 5pm if they remain unclaimed by season ticket holders. Supporters interested in the singing section are also advised to contact the ticket office directly.

Supporter, and away SLO, Claire Burgess continued: “Saturday was a fab day all round. Section 3 of the East Stand was brilliant. I could hear them singing and banging the drum throughout. It seemed to have grown bigger each time I looked.

“The dancers on the pitch have been amazing in the second half of the season. The smiles and excitement to perform on the pitch have been outstanding.

“Also the Fan Zone, I’m hardly there after the game, but I stayed afterwards and Hardwicke Circus were fabulous, especially watching the results coming in.”

The matchday experience was further supported by activity in the Northern Competitions Fan Zone, which attracted significant footfall both before and after kick-off. Live entertainment was provided by Hardwicke Circus, contributing to extended dwell time and post-match engagement.

Players and families took part in a lap of appreciation after the match creating a meaningful moment for them and supporters.

Jenna added: “It was lovely to see the players and families out on the pitch at the end of the match. Being such a close-knit family, and as a new parent with our little one here for her first game, made it even more special.”

In addition, the Cumberland Building Society celebrated 20 years of the Community Ticket Scheme, which has distributed over 30,000 tickets and broadened access to the club.

The club’s EDI team, alongside partners, also delivered mental health awareness activity within the Fan Zone, including a new campaign which our Ladies team are at the heart of.

The club will now look to build on the initial success of the singing section initiative when it returns this weekend, with continued focus on atmosphere, inclusivity, and supporter participation.
