Head Coach Rob Elliot wants Carlisle United to turn their positive performances into results when they travel to Eastleigh on Saturday.
United were held to a 1-1 draw by Forest Green Rovers midweek, despite a strong second-half showing, with opportunities to claim all three points.
Elliot was pleased with his side's response after the break but felt they needed to react better after Forest Green's opener.
He said: "We started really well. Then when they scored, it threw us; we never got into our rhythm first half. After that, and then second half, we were much better.
"You know, we camped in their half and just couldn't get that second goal to win the game and finish the game off. So, much improvement in the second half, but just disappointed with our reaction after the goal.
"So, pleased with the second half, finished really strong, should have obviously got the winner."
United have created plenty of chances in recent games but are still looking for greater consistency in both boxes.
And Elliot believes becoming more clinical will be key to turning those positive performances into results.
"I think it's both boxes where we really need to make sure we tighten up because we're doing all the right things, but we're letting ourselves down in the final moments.
"When we get it right, we're going to be a really, really top team. I genuinely believe that. The good thing about what I've seen in the last period of games is there's no fear for me.
"There's so much more to come from this team, but we just need to make sure we are ruthless with it."
Attention now turns to Eastleigh, who have made a strong start and will provide another tough test for United.
Elliot knows his side will need to match their physical approach while remaining focused on imposing their own style on the game.
"They've started really well. They're really physical. They go man for man. They get into a good low block when they need to.
"They've got good attacking threats. They can play, but they can be direct. They're good at both, strong from set pieces. It's going to be a tough game. They all are at this level.
"We've got to back ourselves. We've got to put on a performance and get back into that rhythm and go and get another win and get ourselves going. The performances are there. The opportunities are there. We just need to start taking them."
