Carlisle United are delighted to announce the loan signing of forward Hugh Parker from Hull City.
Parker, 19, joins the club on an initial one-month loan deal from the Sky Bet Championship outfit.
After beginning his career with Greystones United, Cabinteely FC and Bray Wanderers, Parker joined UCD at underage level and went on to play a pivotal role in the club’s first-ever SSE Airtricity Under-17 League title in 2023, finishing joint top scorer with 23 goals. Four goals in a decisive 20-minute spell on the final day against Waterford helped UCD clinch the championship on goal difference ahead of Dundalk and Shelbourne.
He made his senior debut for UCD in March 2024 against Wexford and has since recorded 34 senior appearances, scoring twice and providing three assists, in addition to one goal in three UEFA Youth League outings.
At international level, Parker represented Ireland at the 2024 FAI Schools Centenary Cup, featuring in all four matches and scoring against Northern Ireland and Wales, earning a nomination for the 2024 Schools International Player of the Year award.
In February 2025, the forward joined Hull City, linking up with their under-21 side, where he has appeared on 21 occasions this campaign, scoring 10 and assisting five.
Head of Recruitment, Martin Foyle said: "Hugh is another player who matches the type of profile we’re looking to bring into the club.
"His capabilities as a forward complement what we already have in the building, and it’s a great opportunity for him to develop under the guidance of the senior pros in the attacking areas.
"We want to help players that we’ve identified as having high potential to learn and improve to benefit the club and their careers."
This move is subject to ratification from The FA, EFL and National League.
