Carlisle United Supporters’ Club, London Branch, have raised £625 in aid of Carlisle United Community Sports Trust through the sale of t-shirts commemorating United’s 1974/75 season in Division One.
London Branch member and former Treasurer, Andrew Dobinson, presented CUFC CST CEO, James Tose, with a check at half-time of the Blues' three-all draw with Boreham Wood to mark the donation.
The money will go towards new equipment to support CUFC CST’s work in the community across 30-plus projects for all the family.
Carlisle United Community Sports Trust CEO, James Tose said: “We are incredibly grateful to our London Branch supporters for their generous donation.
“The money raised has been spent on sports equipment for our school delivery programs.
“We are in 40 schools per week, so to renew some of the equipment will certainly help make a difference to the work we do.”
Carlisle United Supporters’ Club London Branch Chairman, Dave Brown added: “It was fantastic to see the t-shirt we produced strike a chord with fans both online and via sales in the Blues Store, and I think it was always our intention to choose this route when it came to making a decision on which charity we wanted to support.”
“James and his incredible team do so many good things for so many people in Carlisle and across Cumbria, from children all the way through to veterans and pensioners.
“It’s great for us to be able to help them with that, even in this small way.”
