United Ladies start their competitive season this Sunday, as they take on GT7 Academy in the Adobe Women’s FA Cup Preliminary Round at Creighton Rugby Club.
The Blues come into Sunday’s clash off the back of a positive week on the pitch. United won their first pre-season fixture 7-1 against Bolton County last Sunday, and the development team were victorious in the Andrea Buggy Shield final on Thursday night, defeating Stanwix 1-0.
The 2025/26 season presents an opportunity for United to bring promising players from their development team into the first team. The Cumbrians will be fielding a young squad this season, but it represents an exciting challenge to see how far the team can progress.
