EVERYTHING WE LEARNT FROM DAVID AJIBOYE: POST BOSTON UNITED (H)

.

After a superb individual performance and a thrilling 6-2 victory over Boston United, we spoke to winger David Ajiboye.

Speaking to CUTV, he discussed his individual performance, the side’s bounce-back ability and the upcoming challenges.

Here is everything we learned:

1. Individually fantastic

“Obviously, we knew we needed to have a reaction after going 2-1 down, and I thought we did that brilliantly.”

2. Big character shown

“The gaffer spoke during the week that he needed to bounce back after the result on Saturday.

"I think we should have done it more this season after going down, but I think this is a good step in the right direction, especially towards the end of the season, to use that momentum to keep going.”

3. A first-time finish

“I just knew I needed to react to see if it gets put across the goal or set back to me, and Luke (Armstrong) brought it down, and done a lovely set to me and used my left foot to put it in.”

4. On home comforts

“Yeah, it was nice. I just need to keep working on the training pitch and getting results for the team.”

5. Two left-footed finishes

“I think I've got more left foot goals than right foot this season, they might start clocking on, so I might have to start using my right now.”

6. Reacting to negative results

“It's positive and very big (the win), especially at home in front of our crowd. We just need to keep it up, and if it happens again, do the same thing and bounce back.”

7. The physicality of the match

“All good. Ready to go again. But we've got Halifax on Tuesday.”

8. Being ready for Tuesday

“They're (Halifax) up and around it as well, so it'll be a tough and a big game, so looking forward to it.”
