Carlisle United are delighted to announce the signing of goalkeeper Adam Desbois from Gateshead for an undisclosed fee.
Desbois, 25, arrives at Brunton Park on a two-year deal, with the option of a further year, having impressed for the Heed in the Enterprise National League during the latter stages of the previous campaign.
Desbois joined Gateshead from Slough Town in March 2026 and established himself as their number one, making 12 league appearances and keeping five clean sheets as they escaped the drop.
That run included an impressive clean sheet at Brunton Park in April, when Desbois produced several vital saves, holding the Blues to a goalless draw.
Before his move to Gateshead, Desbois spent the first part of the 2025/26 campaign with Slough Town, making 33 league appearances in the National League South.
The Reading-born goalkeeper began his career in the academies at Reading and Brighton & Hove Albion before gaining senior experience with Cheshunt and Hampton & Richmond Borough.
