First-year professional Charlie Birch has today joined fellow youth graduates Charlie Barnes and Liam Lightfoot on-loan with Kendal Town.
The talented left-sided player will remain with the Northern Premier League Division One North West outfit until the end of the current season.
Having signed his first senior deal just before the lockdown Birch, 18, is comfortable on the ball and can play in defence, or further up the pitch, as required.
Assistant manager Gav Skelton said: “As with Charlie Barnes and Liam, we know we’re sending Charlie to a good club who do things the right way.
“It’s first team football at a good level and it’s a great way to gain valuable experience. We’ll still see him in training and we’ll be monitoring him closely, as we are the other lads, and it’s another example of a situation that benefits everybody.”
