United come up against another of the division’s form teams tonight when they face Crewe Alexandra at Gresty Road.
Manager Steven Pressley spoke about what is another important game following the weekend home draw with Exeter City.
“We’ve done our preparation, as you would expect, and we know we’re coming up against a very good team,” he said. “They’re in good form and they’ll be really disappointed to have taken the lead on Saturday, on one occasion that was deep into time added on, only to have come out of it with just a point to show for their efforts.
“The time has been used since Saturday to highlight different aspects of what we expect to come up against. We’ve also reiterated some of the important messages we want to get across because we know we are most effective when we play a certain way.”
“Crewe are extremely well organised and they’ve started to score goals regularly,” he added. “They’re on a good run, but we have nothing to fear.
“If we play like I know we can, then I think we’ll win on Tuesday night. They’re on a very impressive run and it shows that this is a tough league.
“It’ll be another really hard game but I have a real belief in us. Like I say, if we go to Crewe and play our top game we’ll win.”
