Carlisle United Football Club can confirm that second-year youth scholar Josh Galloway has today signed for Championship outfit Leeds United for an undisclosed fee.
Glasgow-born Galloway, 18 in January, joined United’s academy system at under-10 level and was another who caught the eye as he went on throguh the age groups to earn a two-year scholarship.
He featured heavily during this summer’s pre-season schedule with the first team and started the friendly fixtures against Fleetwood Town and Tranmere Rovers here at Brunton Park.
Yet to make a first team senior appearance, he has been closely watched by scouts from clubs at higher levels of the football pyramid, sparking this move to capture his signature by the Championship table-toppers.
This transfer remains subject to the clearance of all necessary paperwork.
