Carlisle United Football Club can confirm that Mr John Jackson has been appointed as a director on the C.U.F.C. Holdings Board with immediate effect.
A spokesperson for EWM said: "Edinburgh Woollen Mill supports Carlisle United with the provision of a loan facility. A request was made by the Board of C.U.F.C. Holdings, and approved by the EFL, that Edinburgh Woollen Mill appoint a Board Member to oversee its support.
“Edinburgh Woollen Mill continues to assist Carlisle United because we believe the club plays an important and valuable role in Carlisle, and this appointment does not change the status or nature of our support."
