Carlisle United have today signed Sheffield United midfielder Regan Slater on a season-long loan deal which keeps him at Brunton Park until the summer of 2019.
Slater, 18, came through the youth ranks with the Blades and made his first team debut at the age of 17 in a 4-2 EFL Trophy away victory against Grimsby Town.
He became the youngest player in the club’s history to mark his debut by hitting the back of the net during that game.
He made his league debut last season against Preston, and featured again when the Blades played Ipswich Town in the FA Cup.
We'll have reaction to this move on the official website later today.
This loan deal remains subject to the clearance of all relevant paperwork.
