Bolton forward Georg Iliev signs loan deal
Carlisle United have today signed Bolton striker Georg Iliev on a one month loan deal which keeps him at Brunton Park until midnight on 15 November 2014.
Bulgarian born Iliev, 20, joined Wanderers on schoolboy terms in 2011 from CSKA Sofia and signed a, 18 month professional contract in January 2014 having scored 12 in 30 outings during the U21 Development Squad campaign that season.
He has been capped by his country at U18 level and was called up to the Bulgaria U21 squad in October this year.
“We’ve seen Georg and he is very good in the air and has good presence,” manager Keith Curle said. “He has a strong physique and he works very hard off the ball. Andy Hughes, the U21 coach at Bolton, speaks very highly of him and we think he’ll fit in very well here.
"Georg will travel down to Plymouth on Saturday morning so he can meet the rest of the squad ahead of what we hope will be a successful month together."
