Former-Seagull set to swoop in
Carlisle United have today agreed terms on a two-year deal with midfielder Gary Dicker which keeps him at Brunton Park until the end of the 2016 season.
Irish-born Dicker, 27, started his career with UCD and was invited for a trial spell with Birmingham City during the League of Ireland close season in 2007. He signed for Stockport County that same year and joined League One Brighton two years later having made 68 appearances at the County Ground.
He went on to make over 150 appearances for the Seagulls and helped them to gain promotion to the Championship in season 2010/11 before spending last season on short-term contracts at Rochdale and Crawley.
"It's really good to have another two agreed ahead of next week," manager Graham Kavanagh said.
"Gary has a great pedigree and, yet again, a lot of experience.
"He's another who will add to the squad and who really wants to come here and do a job. We're looking forward to working with him when we all get back together next week."
