Carlisle United are recruiting a Lead Sports Scientist to join the Academy.
The successful candidate will provide sports science support to all Carlisle United Academy players, delivering a comprehensive programme aligned with the Sports Science programme and the Academy philosophy.
Role requirements:
- Perform duties with due regard to the Club’s policies, procedures and legislative requirements.
- Produce and oversee players’ off-season fitness programmes.
- Ensure the Football intelligence platform is consistently and regularly updated.
- Ensure implementation of the club’s health & safety, safeguarding, welfare and equality policies to create a safe working environment for all.
- Work closely with the Senior Academy Physiotherapist to enhance and continue to develop injury prevention/performance/nutrition and recovery strategies.
- Responsible for the collection and presentation of data (GPS/HR/RPE).
- Ensure working practices are appropriate in collaboration with the Club’s legal obligations.
- Undertake continuous professional development (CPD) training and/or additional training.
This role is 37.5 hours per week, located at Brunton Park and relevant club training facilities and reports to the Academy Manager.
