Carlisle United’s new signing Tom Anderson believes that the Blues will have to be on top form to beat Aldershot Town.
The 33-year-old joined United on Tuesday evening on loan from Shrewsbury Town until December and was involved with the squad for the win over AFC Fylde.
He believes that it is crucial that his side keep the standards high as they head to the EBB Stadium on Saturday.
Anderson said: “We have to make sure we're right at it like we were on Tuesday night against Fylde, that’s the minimum requirement.
“We’ve set the standards and hopefully we can back that up.
“Momentum is massive in football, to go to back-to-back away games and get six points, it would be fantastic”
The Burnley-born defender has spent the last 12 years playing in the football league, and he believes that his experience could be crucial in helping the squad.
“This is my 15th year in the game, and I've got a lot of experience behind me now.
“I've developed as a person and a player.
“I'll bring a lot of experience, energy and professionalism to try and help the lads out the best I can,” he added.
Anderson is expecting a tough test against high-flying Aldershot Town, with the Shots sitting in 7th place in the Enterprise National League table.
He said: “They have made a really good start to the season, I’ve seen they’re up there in the table.
“They deserve to be where they are and we'll have to make sure we're right at it”
The defender has set his goals for his time at the club and believes that he can be successful.
“I just to win as many games as possible, be a good person around the place and be a good leader.
“It’s about helping the group to get as high up the table as we can.
“You want to be out there playing and getting that winning feeling and I’m really looking forward to what's coming ahead,” he explained.
