Matt Rush has established himself as one of Boreham Wood's most dangerous attacking players since joining the club from Sutton United in December 2024.
The 25-year-old came through Southend United's academy, making his senior debut for the Shrimpers before gaining valuable experience on loan with Great Wakering Rovers, Harlow Town, Tonbridge Angels and Chelmsford City.
Rush later enjoyed spells with Braintree Town, Aveley and Maidstone United, where he scored 15 goals in 33 appearances during the 2023/24 season. He joined Sutton United before returning to Maidstone on loan, scoring three times in six appearances.
A move to Boreham Wood followed in December 2024, and Rush quickly established himself as a prolific goalscorer. He scored 26 league goals during the 2025/26 season and finished as the club's top scorer with 33 goals in all competitions.
