HEATONS GROUP DONATE LAPTOPS TO YOUTH TEAM

ACADEMY LAPTOPS

Carlisle United were delighted to receive a donation of new laptops for the Academy scholars from Heatons Group last week.

Heatons provided the office interiors and furnishings for the refurbished Neil Centre, East Stand offices and for the new Education Centre which is now used on a weekly basis by the U18 players.

Ahead of the new season, the IT equipment needed upgrading, and Tony Chilton of Heatons stepped in to donate 17 laptops. These are used for the players to complete their education work as part of the BTEC course they complete alongside playing for the youth team.

Academy manager, Steven Rudd said: “We can’t thank Heatons Group enough for their donation. The scholars’ education is vital, therefore it’s important that they have a good environment and all the equipment they need. The donation of these laptops will play a big part in that. It means they can work in our fantastic new East Stand Education Centre using their club laptops.”

Tony Chilton, of Heatons Group said: “We were delighted to be able to help the Academy lads with this equipment, it’s so important that they are able to gain other skills while they complete their scholarship.

“The new classroom facilities in the East Stand are fantastic, and we hope this new equipment will make schoolwork a little bit more enjoyable for the lads!”
