David Ajiboye says Carlisle United need to be more clinical after being denied all three points late on against Wealdstone.
The forward opened the scoring for the Blues in the first half, latching onto Georgie Kelly's pass before finishing beyond the hosts' goalkeeper.
But United were unable to make their opportunities count after the break, before a late Wealdstone free-kick ensured the points were shared at Grosvenor Vale.
He said: "Disappointed, obviously, last-minute goal, but I think we could have performed better, so we've only got ourselves to blame for that, I think, but we've just got to look forward to Monday now.
"Yes, you can always be more clinical.
"We had quite a few chances, so we've just got to keep working on that, and it will come, and one game will finish all our chances, and we'll be happy."
Ajiboye's first-half strike was his first goal of the season and came after Kelly released him in behind the Stones defence.
And the attacker hopes getting off the mark can provide a confidence boost as he looks to build on his start to the campaign.
"Yes, I can't even remember how much what happened, but obviously Georgie played me in, and I just had a moment to think about it.
"I just thought I needed to go high rather than low and scored, so yes, I'm happy about that, but the result, not happy.
"It's a confidence booster to get your first goal, so hopefully we'll just kick on now and team kicks on too."
United now have little time to dwell on Friday night's result, with Scunthorpe United making the trip to Brunton Park on Monday.
Ajiboye says the focus will be on recovering from the trip to the capital before preparations turn towards the next challenge.
"Just got to recover well, recovery and get back up north and then go in Sunday and get back to work ready for Monday."
