Club and Community Trust to Raise Awareness During Baby Loss Awareness Week

Silent Footprints

Carlisle United Football Club and Community Sports Trust have teamed up with the Silent Footprints Foundation to mark Baby Loss Awareness Week.

This is an opportunity for fans to choose a ribbon in memory of baby loss, and personalise the ribbons before tying them on the arch in the Memory Garden at Brunton Park.

Ribbons will be available from the Blues and Claires Bakery from the 9th to the 15th of October for the community to get involved in the initiative.

Gail Dobson-Burns, Founder of the Silent Footprints Foundation, said: “ It’s important to raise awareness for baby loss and miscarriage because it’s such a taboo subject and people keep it hidden.

“We provide a safe environment for people to be able to come and talk freely about their loss, and it’s helpful to know that you’re not alone.”

Teresa Mulholland, EDI lead for the Club and Community Sports Trust, added: “Carlisle United Football Club and Community Sports Trust are once again proud to support Baby Loss Awareness Week, showing our support and standing alongside families and communities affected by baby loss.

“Together, we can help break the silence, raise awareness, and show that no one walks this journey alone.”
