Chairman Tom Piatak's message to supporters following the conclusion of the 2025/26 Enterprise National League season.
Sunday did not bring the outcome we all wanted, and the disappointment is real. We wanted more, expected more, and know how much it meant to everyone connected with Carlisle United and across Cumbria.
But this season has also laid important foundations, on the pitch, in the stands, and across the wider community. There is a stronger connection around this football club today than there was a year ago, and that matters. Now we have to build on it with purpose.
We are not here to stand still. The work has already started to review, improve, and make the decisions needed to move this club forward. Every decision will be made with one clear goal: giving Carlisle United the best possible chance to be successful and giving our supporters a team they can believe in.
To the players and staff, thank you for your efforts across a demanding season. The bar has been raised. Now it has to go higher. That is the challenge, and that is the standard we must embrace.
One of the real highlights for us this season has been the atmosphere at Brunton Park. To see over 13,000 supporters inside the stadium for the play-off semi-final, and to see our supporters fill away ends up and down the country, shows what this club means to Carlisle and Cumbria. That backing does not go unnoticed. It is the heartbeat of this club.
As an ownership group, we will do our part. Our commitment is strong, and that has not changed. Together, let’s build the club we all want - supporters, local businesses, partners, and the wider Cumbrian community all pulling in the same direction.
There is no loss of belief here. There is only focus, determination, and a clear understanding of the work ahead.
