Carlisle United Football Club can confirm that the away game against Barnsley scheduled for Saturday 18 November has been POSTPONED due to the international call-up rule.
Under current rules a club can request a postponement if they have three or more first team squad members called up at any combination of full, under-21, under-20 or under-19 levels and Barnsley have confirmed that this is the case.
U21, U20 or U19 players must have been involved in 25% of their club's games during the current season or have been included on three of their club's last five match day team sheets.
We were informed of the postponement after Barnsley submitted their team sheet from Saturday's game against Derby County.
A new date for this fixture will be confirmed in due course which will include details on ticket returns.
