United’s partnership with Rickerby Ltd is heading towards its 26th year and beyond with a further three years of pitch sponsorship [hand-in-hand with the deal signed by Paul Simpson, no less] that keeps two of the county’s iconic brands working together until 2025.
Their support this season comes in the form of an Iseki TLE3410 Hydro Tractor fitted with a power loader, and a Jacobsen TR 320 Triple Fine Turf Mower, with a Fleming Roller also supplied.
And the club’s grounds team also have the continued use of a golf buggy for day-to-day tasks.
The tractor is used to power the aeration machinery and to help to handle the weather covers, whenever they need to be deployed, and the Jacobsen Tr320 is a new model from the Jacobsen range which is designed to cut sports pitches and high-profile grass areas.
Dave Mitchell said: “I know we say this a lot but our relationship with Rickerby Ltd is fantastic.
“They’ve supplied us with some incredible machinery over the years, which in itself is important, but they’re also on the end of the phone immediately if something unexpected crops up.
“The helpful and ‘can do’ approach is exactly what you need and they’re huge fans of the club, so I know they want to do everything they can.
“I’d like to thank Martyn Henderson and Alistair McRobert for the work they’ve done with us over the years and I’m looking forward to that continuing for many more years to come.”

The Jacobsen Mower is built in Britain in their state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Ipswich.
