A huge thank you goes to Mark Harper from local cleaning specialists MH Industrial, based in Crosby On Eden, for his donation of 100 tickets to the #GoodVibrations ticket donation scheme.
Mark, a club vice president and long-standing supporter of the Blues, is another who caught the first wave of local businesses to show interest in the scheme as we look to get a bumper crowd into the stadium for the visit of Leyton Orient later this month.
“The ticket donation scheme is a fantastic idea,” he said. “It’s a great chance for local businesses to show support to both the club and to schools and groups in the area. If we’re helping to create a few new fans for the future along with that, then it’s win-win for everybody.
“The #GoodVibrations initiative is another good one because the football we’ve seen since the turn of the year has made the team enjoyable to watch and difficult to beat. Credit goes to Chris [Beech], his staff and players for that.
“If we can encourage more people to come along to see what’s happening then that’s also a good thing. Hopefully by growing the ticket donation scheme even more youngsters will be able to attend this game.”
Ticket office manager Louise Banks said: “The initial response to the donation scheme has been amazing.
“Mark even went out of his way to come down to the club to make sure MH Industrial were involved, and we’ll make sure that the tickets he purchased are distributed to school children this week, on his behalf.
“Yet again he’s done his bit to help to support the club, as he does every season, and it’s something we definitely don’t take for granted.”
