Exciting friendly played out in the summer sunshine
The United U18 side was put to the test by Middlesbrough Academy on Tuesday afternoon as the visitors raced away to a three-goal first half lead in soaring temperatures.There was no time to blink in an all-action encounter as the young Blues rallied with excellent strikes before the break from Kieran Hall and Luke Lloyd.
An equaliser from Cameron Salkeld at the start of the second half left the game in the balance but two good late finishes from the visitors, as the heat started to take its toll, left them with a victory from what was a very entertaining game.
