Keith Curle visits Pennine Way Primary School

United manager Keith Curle took some time out of his morning today to pop in and say hello to the children at Pennine Way Primary School in Harraby.

The visit came as a nice surprise for the youngsters at their Thursday morning assembly and they received an extra special treat when they got to see one of the manager's England caps, and some photographs of his time with Manchester City.

Keith Curle said: "I can talk to a room full of players all day, but talking about my career in front of a hall full of children was really difficult.

"It was lovely to see the looks on their faces though and even nicer to find a room full of Carlisle United fans. I think some of them were surprised to hear that I had been told I wouldn't make it as a footballer when I was 16. I saw that as a challenge and if the children can take a little bit of that message on board then it makes it a very worthwhile trip. I really enjoyed the morning and I think they enjoyed having me along."
