Final played ahead of the Mansfield Town game
We were delighted to welcome Thomlinson School, Wigton and Stanwix School, Carlisle for the final of our Kids Cup competition before our home match against Mansfield Town at the end of January.
It was a typically exciting game, with chances at both ends, and Thomlinson ran out as winners in the end.
CST officer John Halpin said: "Both sets of players were a credit to their schools and we would like to congratulate them all on the way they conducted themselves and in the way they approached the fixture.
"It was a pleasure to have them here and I know, from the feedback on the day, that they really enjoyed themselves."
Thomlinson will now represent Carlisle United Football Club at the regional finals, to be held at Crewe during March.
