Bolton Wanderers defender Hayden White on his loan extension
We caught up with Bolton defender Hayden White to get his reaction to the one month extension to his existing loan deal.
“I’m pleased this is done because I’ve enjoyed my time here,” he said. “I had a meeting with the manager down at Bolton and he told me he’d heard I was doing what was expected of me.
“He asked if I was enjoying myself and he mentioned that the manager up here was keen on keeping me. I’m really enjoying it because I think it’s good for both parties. What has happened here has been a big achievement for me.”
“It’s good for me that the manager wants me here because it means I’m doing something right,” he agreed. “It shows I’ve got his backing and I’m more than happy to be playing football for him.
“I didn’t get myself involved in the rumours about other clubs being interested. It’s about Carlisle United because this is where I want to be at the moment. We’re winning and I’m getting games, and I think every player wants to be part of a winning team.”
“The results have changed for the better since I got here but that’s not down to me,” he insisted. “That’s from the hard work everyone in the changing room has put in. Hopefully we can keep these results going.”
“The fans here have been really good with me,” he added. “They’ve been tweeting me, and stuff like that, and it’s been really good for me to have that sort of thing happen.
“I do think it’s important to enjoy your football and to be happy with where you are. It’s a great place to come to every day and the dressing room is buzzing.
“Everyone is really happy with what we’re doing and we’re all determined to keep it going on.”
