Todd signs one-year contract
Midfielder Josh Todd has today put pen-to-paper on his second professional deal which keeps him at Brunton Park until the summer of 2014.
Todd, 19 in June, successfully came through the youth ranks to earn his first contract last summer made his debut in the 3-0 victory over Hartlepool during the festive period.
An early season injury hampered his progress but manager Greg Abbott moved quickly to offer the versatile ball player a further twelve months.
“Josh is a good player but he was a little bit unlucky last season,” Abbott said. “We know what he can do and we are delighted that he’ll be with us again next season.
“This gives him an opportunity to get back in June and do his work, and hopefully he’ll be pushing to make his mark.”
We’ll have full reaction on the new deal from Josh Todd later this week.
