STADIUM: Safety inspections all-clear

25 July 2013

Stadium meets full capacity

Carlisle United Football Club are delighted to announce that all relevant safety inspections have been completed ahead of the new season and that the stadium has been given the thumbs up to operate at full spectator capacity.

Checks ranging from PAT tests to fire safety inspections have been carried out throughout the summer and the club has been given a clean bill of health with all safety criteria having been met.

"We work closely with the local council and authorities to make sure we act on any recommendations and that has enabled us to achieve a high recommendation this time round," supporter liaison officer Nigel Dickinson said.

"All of the remedial work they recommended was completed well ahead of schedule and we are now looking forward to the new season kicking off in August."

"We work with the County Council Safety Advisory Group and they are happy that all records and certificates are up to date and that we have reached the necessary competency levels with our safety staff," safety officer John Little explained.

"That means we are able to run the stadium at full capacity as we go into the new campaign."
