CST: Arrivals and Departure Policy

15 August 2013

Policy information from the CST

The following procedures will assist in ensuring the safety of children is maintained whilst at Community Trust activities:

+ Coaches should arrive AT LEAST 15 minutes before the time the children are due to arrive.

+ If parents or guardians arrive early, they should not leave the child unattended. Parents or guardians must wait until a member of staff arrives BEFORE they depart.

+ At the end of the session, two members of staff should remain with the children until all the parents or guardians arrive to collect them. Under no circumstances should a child be left on their own to await the arrival of their parent or guardian.

+ A register of children should be taken every morning before any activity commences, and again at the end of the day. Strict control should be maintained over the whereabouts of the children at all times.

+ If parents or guardians are going to be late then they must inform a member of the coaching staff at the earliest opportunity. A member of staff should also be informed if someone other than the parent or guardian will be collecting the child at the end of the day.

Thank you for your assistance in this matter.
