ASKING FOR PATIENCE

31 July 2012

The manager on the hunt for new blood

Manager Greg Abbott gave us a further update this morning on his search for new signings as the season kick off approaches.

He said: "We've asked quite a few questions and we are still trying very hard to make things happen.

"We want to bring in one or two new faces if possible to give us more in the way of depth and options, and our work off the field is with that in mind.

"The good thing is that the players we have here already look sharp and up for it. That means we can take our time and make sure we're finding the right players who will come in and give us a chance of pushing on a little bit further.

"As I said last week, there are four or five out there we feel would add to what we have here at the moment. We'll keep plugging away as we try to make one or two of them happen for all of us.

"Again, we can't put any time frames around it because in some cases we are waiting for other decisions to be made. All we can do is ask for patience as we carry on with the work which, hopefully, will benefit us all in the long run."
