Hayden Atkinson made his United debut in October 2024 against Wigan Athletic in the Football League Trophy.

The defender signed his first professional deal in the summer of 2025 following an impressive pre-season with the first team, before making his full league debut against Eastleigh in the Enterprise National League in February 2026.
