Desbois joined the Blues from Gateshead in August 2026 for an undisclosed fee, signing a two-year deal with the option of a further year.

He began his career in the academies at Reading and Brighton & Hove Albion before gaining senior experience with Cheshunt, Hartley Wintney, Leatherhead and Hampton & Richmond Borough.

The goalkeeper joined Slough Town in the summer of 2025 and enjoyed an impressive campaign, making 33 league appearances in the National League South before moving to Gateshead in March.

Adam quickly established himself as the Heed's number one, making 12 league appearances and keeping five clean sheets as they secured their National League status. He also kept a clean sheet against the Blues at Brunton Park in April 2026.
