Carlisle United are delighted to announce the arrival of Luke Skinner on a one-month loan deal from Bristol City.
Skinner, 18, joins Rob Elliot’s side ahead of our clash with Yeovil Town, initially on a deal until 9 September.
The attacker signed his first professional contract with the Robins in November 2024, on his 17th birthday, having been with the Championship outfit since the age of six.
In recent seasons, Luke has gained valuable senior experience through loan spells with Weston-super-Mare, Eastleigh and Bath City.
Head Coach, Rob Elliot said: “We’re really pleased to bring Luke in. He’s a talented young player who has already gained valuable experience in senior football, and we’re looking forward to seeing what he can bring to the group.
“With Luke Armstrong currently unavailable, it’s important that we have good cover in the attacking areas, and Luke gives us another option and adds competition for places. He’s hungry to play, he knows what’s expected of him, and we’re looking forward to working with him.”
Recruitment Analyst, Jacob Blain added: "It's no secret that we are currently light in the forward areas and Luke is someone who has been on our radar since his loan spell with Weston-super-Mare in the early part of last season. We have monitored him closely since and he has impressed over that time.
"We spoke to a number of people who have worked with Luke who all spoke very highly of him. He is a strong runner and is able to affect games with how direct and positive he is.
"We look forward to welcoming Luke into the squad and giving him a platform to follow on from his previous loan spells last season."
Luke will wear the number 19 shirt during his spell with the Blues and is eligible to make his debut at Huish Park this afternoon.
This move is subject to ratification from The FA, EFL and National League.
