REMEMBRANCE FIXTURE 2025

Remembrance

On Tuesday night, before our game against FC Halifax Town, we will pause to remember those who lost their lives in many conflicts and wars across the world.

Veterans alongside three standard bearers will lead the two teams out and lay the wreaths at the centre circle.

The Last Post will then be played by Emma Griffiths alongside a minute's silence starting and ending on the referee’s whistle.

Representatives from the Army, Navy, and Air Force will be in attendance, and the players will wear poppy armbands on the evening.

Robert Armstrong, Carlisle United Veterans Group, said: “When you join the military, you take Carlisle United with you, you follow the results no matter where you are serving, you always want to come back to the football when you return home.

Harry Cochrane, Carlisle United Veterans Group, added: “Carlisle United are a huge part of the community; we have lost serving personnel in conflicts from our community, in particular, the King's Own Border Regiment.”
