NORTH WEST RECYCLING BECOME OFFICIAL SUSTAINABILITY PARTNER

.

Carlisle United are pleased to announce that North West Recycling (NWR) will be the club's new Official Sustainability Partner for the 2026/27 season.

As the club’s waste management provider, NWR already plays an important role at Brunton Park, collecting and processing food waste, glass, mixed recycling and general waste from the stadium at its facilities here in Cumbria.

Now entering its second year, the partnership builds on that relationship, putting sustainability at the heart of the matchday experience, and helping supporters better understand the impact of their recycling.

Throughout the season, NWR will bring the recycling journey to life for supporters, delivering a series of Fan Zone activations at Brunton Park. The activations will help fans understand why recycling matters, how to recycle correctly, and what happens to waste once it leaves the stadium.

The partnership also reflects NWR’s long-standing commitment to the communities it serves across Cumbria. As the company celebrates 30 years of supporting local people and businesses in 2026, its continued work alongside Carlisle United provides the opportunity to deepen the company's roots in the communities it has served for three decades.

The Blues are proud to work with NWR as we continue to explore ways to make our matchdays and wider club operations more sustainable, while encouraging our supporters to play their part in building a greener future for Cumbria.

Sam Grant, North West Recycling's Brand and Communications Director, said: "To deliver a sustainable future we need to work as a team - and where better to do that than at Carlisle United, where the community comes together."

Jake Bryant, Carlisle United Commercial Sales Executive, added: "We’re really pleased to continue our partnership with North West Recycling as our Official Sustainability Partner.

"NWR already play an important role at Brunton Park, and this partnership helps us take that further by making sustainability more visible on matchdays and helping supporters better understand the recycling journey.

"It’s great to be working with a Cumbrian business with such strong local roots and a shared commitment to doing things better."
