After covering the Ladies' Team from the start of the 2024/25 season, Alfie Irving joined the Matchday Marketing and Media Team earlier this year to develop his skills. That experience has since helped him secure a full-time role as Media and Marketing Coordinator at Carlisle United Community Sports Trust.
Reflecting on his journey, Alfie said: "I started an internship with the club last September, providing coverage for the Ladies Team. I was then given the opportunity to complete a couple of match reports throughout the season for the First Team and Academy.
"This then progressed at the start of the current season, as I took up a matchday role with the First Team. This has included a whole host of tasks from Pitchside Blues to commentary.
"I'm now working for Carlisle United Community Sports Trust as Media and Marketing Co-ordinator. My internship with the club has allowed me endless amazing experiences and has allowed me to gain a dream first role in the industry."
