Carlisle United Heritage Group hosted a special archive event at the University of Cumbria's Brampton Road Campus.
Tickets for Saturday’s Raise the Roof fixture, kindly donated by the London Branch, were distributed to students and staff attending the event on Tuesday afternoon.
Guests also had the opportunity to chat with first team players Elliot Embleton and Josh Williams, alongside former Blues Bobby Parker and George McVitie.
Visitors were able to explore a wide selection of items from the Carlisle United archive, presented as a pop-up exhibition in the Vallum Gallery. Media students from the university were also given the chance to gain practical experience by interviewing guests during the event.
Representatives from the Supporters’ Trust and the London Branch were also in attendance, recognising their generous £500 donations each towards a contingency fund for CUHG.
The funds will help support the refurbishment of display cabinets received from Tullie and assist with costs involved in establishing the club’s archive.
CUHG member, John Notman said: "We are delighted with how positively the whole event was received. The exhibition - the first we have organised independently - has something for everyone and hopefully gives a flavour of what supporters can expect from a future museum at Brunton Park.
"We hope it inspires further donations and encourages other fans to join our group. We are very grateful to the University of Cumbria for hosting our archive, and events like this further strengthen the strong collaboration with Carlisle United."
Tom Little, Head of Marketing and Media said: "This type of initiative is what the club is about, engaging with fans across the city and county and hopefully bringing some new supporters down to Brunton Park.
"We'd like to thank the Heritage Group, University of Cumbria and London Branch for their support."
The pop-up exhibition will be open to the public on Friday 6 March between 11am and 3pm, with additional opening times to be announced next week. The exhibition will close on Friday 13 March.
