In the qualifying rounds, United claimed an emphatic 5-0 win at the Mazuma Mobile Stadium against Morecambe, with Seb Mason and Reuben Towers both netting twice and Amaru Smith also on target.

That victory set up a trip to Dunston’s UTS Stadium to face Gateshead, where the Cumbrians continued their fine form. Lewis Lambert opened the scoring early on before Towers and Smith were on the scoresheet once again to seal progression.

Back Mark Birch’s young Blues tonight as they aim to go one step further!
