Ahead of the remaining fixtures in the Enterprise National League, we spoke to Ephraim Yeboah.
Speaking on the run-in, Yeboah discussed the team’s current form, competition for places and his determination to make an impact in the final stages of the season.
Here is everything we learnt:
Positive mindset for the run-in
“I just feel like this has come at a perfect time.
“It’s the business end of the season and I’m just ready to take the opportunity.
“I’m just focused on what I can do here now.”
Encouragement to express himself
“The manager just told me to go out there, perform and show the fans what I’m about.
“He’s said I can be free and express myself.
“That gives me confidence as an attacking player.”
Versatility across the front line
“I can play through the middle, on the left or on the right.
“I probably prefer through the middle or left but I’ll play anywhere.
“As long as I’m on the pitch, I’m happy.”
Making the most of every opportunity
“The games I’ve had have been short cameos.
“But whether it’s five minutes or 90, I just want to do the best I can.
“I just want to keep building and improving.”
Driving himself for a starting place
“I want to push for a start and show what I can do.
“I feel like there’s more to come from me.
“It’s about taking my chances when they come.”
Learning from those around him
“Players like Regan [Linney] and David [Ajiboye] are doing really well.
“Seeing that pushes me to be better and to break into the team.
“I know what I’m capable of.”
Thriving in a competitive squad
“It’s a very competitive environment.
“Everyone wants to play and that’s how it should be.
“It’s healthy and it helps everyone improve.”
Clear playing style and attributes
“I’m very direct, I want to get forward and carry the ball.
“I want to play quick and get on the ball as much as I can.
“But the main thing is I always give everything.”
Work ethic as a key strength
“I don’t feel satisfied if I come off the pitch knowing I could have given more.
“You can’t always have a perfect game but you can always work hard.
“That’s the biggest thing for me.”
Focus on achieving promotion
“It would be massive to be part of a team that gets promoted.
“We’re close now and I just want to play my part.
“Hopefully we can achieve something special together.”
