CST FEMALE FOOTBALL SESSIONS

Carlisle United Community Sports Trust are excited to launch new Women's and Girls' football sessions in partnership with the Premier League Fans Fund starting in June.

They will take place on Thursdays at the Harraby 3G in Carlisle for ten weeks between 19 June 2025, and 21 August 2025.

FA-qualified female coaches will deliver the project to suit all abilities and a range of age groups.

Sessions are free to attend, with participants recommended to wear trainers/boots and shin pads.

The age groups and times for each session are as follows:

  • Kids session for those aged 8 to 11 from 5pm - 6pm
  • Youths session for those aged 12 to 16 from 6pm - 7pm
  • Adults session for those aged 18+ from 7pm - 8pm

There are 16 places available for each group, so sign up early to avoid missing out.

Carlisle United Community Sports Trust Inclusion Officer, Ryan Godderidge said: "Our PL Fans Fund Women's and Girls' sessions are aiming to create further opportunities for females of all ages and abilities in Carlisle.

 "Through these sessions, we hope to offer a space where women and girls can enjoy playing football, supported to achieve their goals by our female coaching staff."

 Carlisle United Community Sports Trust CEO, James Tose added: "At Carlisle United Community Sports Trust, we're proud to offer free football sessions for women and girls.

"We already have our Girls Emerging Talent Centre and our Female Football Development Scholarship, so we feel it is important to add some inclusive engagement sessions to our provision.

"It is really important to create a fun, inclusive and supportive environment where every player can grow in confidence and build new friendships, and we hope these new services can deliver on that."
