The Carlisle United Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Team is proud to begin its second season of planning and supporting initiatives that champion inclusivity, equality, and community wellbeing — both within the club and across the wider region.

To celebrate and reflect on their impactful first year, the team has produced a video showcasing some of the key events and campaigns they helped organise throughout the last season.
Highlights from Last Season
The EDI team worked with a wide range of partners and community groups to deliver meaningful projects, including:
- Andy’s Man Club Visit – Promoting men’s mental health support across our area
- Dementia and Alzheimer’s Awareness Training – Supporting the United In Memories Dementia Café initiative
- Black History Month celebrations
- Cumbria Pride event participation
- Silent Footprints – Raising awareness around baby loss
- Remembrance Sunday and veteran community support
- Tullie House Tours for deaf and community groups
- Deaf and Blind Awareness workshops
- Foodbank and Homeless Collection drives
- Autism Awareness events
- Launch of Sensory Bags to enhance matchday accessibility
- Baton of Hope suicide prevention campaign introduction
- NHS Health Checks offered in the Fan Zone
- Football v Homophobia campaign
- Level Playing Field disabled access initiative
- Her Game Too and International Women’s Day activities
- Iftar Event during Ramadan
- Child Exploitation Training in partnership with The Children’s Society
- Armed Forces Day recognition
